CoolSculpting

Am I a good candidate for CoolSculpting?

The CoolSculpting fat reduction procedure is specially designed for those who have unwanted fat that resists diet and exercise. CoolSculpting is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese. It is, however, a non-surgical alternative to liposuction.  Good candidates have noticeable bulges in certain areas they’d like to get rid of.  Request a one-on-one consultation to determine if the CoolSculpting procedure is right for you.

How much does the CoolSculpting procedure cost?

The price for CoolSculpting procedures varies depending on your areas of concern, the number of sessions needed, and your ultimate goals. Create a customized treatment plan, in person that’s tailored to your body, your goals, and your budget.

How long is each session? How many sessions will I need?

The length of your CoolSculpting session will vary depending on the number of areas being treated during one visit. You and your provider may schedule additional sessions in order to meet your goals. Many people read, check email, or even take a nap during their sessions.

Where does the fat go? Are the results permanent?

Once the treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), they die and are naturally processed and eliminated from the body. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good.

Is the CoolSculpting body contouring procedure safe?

The CoolSculpting procedure is FDA-cleared for the flank (love handles), abdomen and thigh. With over one million CoolSculpting procedures worldwide, it is proven to be a safe and effective treatment for non-surgical fat reduction.

Are there any side effects?

During the procedure you may experience deep pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness or discomfort. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain.  The CoolSculpting procedure is not for everyone.  You should not have the CoolSculpting procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.  The CoolSculpting procedure is not a treatment for obesity.  As with any medical procedure, ask your physician if the CoolSculpting procedure is right for you.

Can I return to normal activities after my treatment?

Yes, you can. The CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Often times, patients return to work after their CoolSculpting session is over.

When will I see results?

You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment, and will experience the most dramatic results after two months. But your body will still flush out fat cells and continues doing so for up to four to six months after treatment.

What happens if I gain weight down the road?

Many people, after seeing the results from their CoolSculpting procedure, take even better care of themselves. However, if you do gain weight, you may gain it evenly all over your body, not just in the treated areas.

Botox

How long does the treatment take?

You will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you. Treatments are scheduled for 30 minutes; the actual injection process takes about 10 minutes.

Will BOTOX® Cosmetic make me look “fake?”

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a technique-sensitive treatment. You should not lose the ability to show expression when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained and a medical expert in facial anatomy.

When will I see results?

You may begin to notice results within 7 to 14 days.

Does it hurt?

Some patients report that being injected with BOTOX® Cosmetic feels like a pinch.  If you are concerned about discomfort, your provider may apply a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment.

Facial Fillers

What is the difference between BOTOX® and facial fillers?

BOTOX® Cosmetic and facial fillers are two possible ways to treat moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles. Both are non-surgical, but they work differently:

BOTOX® Cosmetic: Injected beneath the skin’s surface to target the underlying muscle activity which is one of the causes of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet. BOTOX® Cosmetic temporarily reduces the activity of those muscles.

Facial fillers: Injected into the skin to temporarily smooth moderate to severe wrinkles such as those around the nose and mouth.

What is hyaluronic acid (HA)?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found on your skin. As you age, you start to lose HA, which causes the skin to lose structure and volume, contributing to the formation of wrinkles and folds.

Am I a candidate for facial fillers?

Do not use this product if you have severe allergies or a history of severe allergic reactions. You should also not use this product if you have allergies to lidocaine or the proteins used to make hyaluronic acid.

Does the correction last forever?

Correction is temporary and may last up to one year with optimal treatment. Therefore, touch-up injections, as well as repeat injections, are usually needed to maintain optimal results. Less material (about half the amount) is usually needed for repeat injections.

What will treatment with facial filler non-surgical filler accomplish?

Non-surgical filler will help to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles around the nose and mouth such as parentheses (smile) lines. Results may last up to one year with optimal treatment.
